What to do if you have a loss

What To Do If You Have A Loss

Windshield and Glass Repair (Available when you carry comprehensive coverage)
You are covered up to the amount of loss minus your comprehensive deductible.  If the damage can be repaired without replacing the glass your deductible is waived.

For windshield and glass damage, call our glass repair network toll free at 800-477-0553. A representative will schedule a convenient time and place to make repairs. Mobile repair will come to your home, office, or other convenient location.

Towing and Labor (Available when you carry Towing and Labor coverage)
If you need to have your car towed, contact the tow company of your choice directly. Pay the tow company at the time of service and submit the bill to National Merit for reimbursement. This also pertains to lockouts, jumpstarts, and other labor related services covered under Towing and Labor.

Minor Losses
If you have a minor loss to your auto or residence property, report the loss here on our website 24 hours a day, or contact a claims representative direct at 800-477-0553. Our normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST, Monday - Friday. If outside our normal business hours you may leave a detailed message and a representative will contact you on the next business day.

Major Losses or Claims Emergencies
In the unfortunate event you have a serious loss involving bodily injury or severe damage to your vehicle or property, our claims staff is available 24 hours per day. Call 800-477-0553 to speak directly to a live operator who will alert a claims representative for immediate assistance.
